Education. Dignity. Opportunity.
In the heart of Kibera.
St. Martin’s School is a women-led initiative providing free and subsidized education to children who need it most: orphans, young mothers, and kids from vulnerable families in Kibera, Nairobi.
Why Kibera?
Kibera is one of the largest informal settlements in Africa. Many families live without running water, stable electricity, or basic healthcare. Schools are rare. Public services are often non-existent. But children here still dream. St. Martin’s School exists to help them achieve those dreams.
A School That Says
‘Yes’!
At St. Martin’s, the doors are open to every child, whether they’ve lost their parents, dropped out due to poverty, or are already raising children of their own.
Founded by local women and former teenage mothers, our school is about second chances, safety, and support.
Meet Cecilia
Cecilia Ayot founded St. Martin’s after being pushed out of school as a pregnant teenager. She knows the power of being given a second chance, so she’s built a school that offers one to hundreds of children every year.
From classroom desks to emotional support, Cecilia and her team fight every day to make sure no child is left behind.
