Kinderhilfe Gemeinnützige Stiftung Weltweit

Kinderhilfe Gemeinnützige Stiftung Weltweit mbh has been brought to life by Yvonne Wende in 2025. St. Martins is the first School of many worldwide she wants to support. As in Kibera, there will be a global network of school principals whom she knows personally to ensure that your donation goes directly to where it is needed.

Our First Project

Standing with St. Martin’s School

St. Martin’s School began with a simple but radical idea: that no child should be denied an education. Not because of poverty, not because of pregnancy, and not because of where they were born.

Our Mission

St. Martin’s School is a women-led, community-run school located in Kibera: the largest informal settlement in Africa. The school welcomes children who are often excluded from education due to poverty, early motherhood, or family hardship.

Founded by Cecilia Ayot and a group of former teenage mothers, St. Martin’s offers more than just classes. It provides meals, mentorship, emotional support, and above all: a chance. A chance for children to stay in school, build confidence, and imagine a future.

Our charity was created to support their work. We’re here to raise awareness, fund critical needs, and ensure the school can keep saying yes to the children who need it most.

“No child should be denied an education because of pregnancy or poverty.”

Cecilia Ayot, Founder of St. Martin’s School

Every child deserves a chance

Too many children are denied education because of who they are or where they’re born. St. Martin’s fights to change that, with a holistic approach that combines schooling, food, and care.

We believe that access to education is not a luxury. It’s a right. And that even in places with few public resources, it’s possible to build something extraordinary with local leadership, global support, and shared belief.

Led Locally. Supported Globally.

We work directly with St. Martin’s School in Kibera. The school is run by women from the community including a team of support staff who themselves faced early motherhood and continue to live with medical and financial challenges. Their resilience is the heartbeat of the school.

We also collaborate with local leaders like:

  • Cecilia Ayot, educator and founder of St. Martin’s

  • Lydia Sabina, trained social worker

  • Tonny Matenge, operational advisor

Our role is simple: amplify their work, raise funds, and ensure their vision reaches those who can help make it grow.
